There’s something about daylight savings that makes a girl want to party! Those extra hours of sunlight have us kicking off our shoes and heading out to the patio for happy hour at home. We’re in major need of something refreshing and clean, and this drink tastes just like springtime. Elderflower liqueur gives a classic G+T a twist with its subtle floral vibe.
Elderflower Gin + Tonic
(yields 1 drink)
• 1 oz Gin (We used New Amsterdam)
• 1oz Elderflower Liqueur (We used St. Elder)
• Tonic Water
• Lime wheel (for garnish)
Fill a small glass with ice. Build this cocktail right in your glass– add gin and liqueur, top off with tonic and give it a little stir. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge; flowers optional 🙂
Mad and I are waist-deep in decisions, since the big move to New York is getting closer and closer! Every time we sit down to chat, we end up discussing packing strategies and apartment hunting plans. We know better than to have any important talks without booze, and these cocktails definitely make these conversations fun and lively. Along with the amazing sunsets we’ve been having lately, these drinks are the key to a perfect April evening. We’re so excited for this summer, we really can’t wait for all the new adventures to come!
Have a great weekend, y’all! Get outside if you can, it’s going to be gorgeous!
